Class: 4 - Lesson: 7 Text Document (Gallery, Drawing Tool, Modify the Paragraph)

Purpose: To learn about OpenOffice text documents, to type long sentences, to apply font styles, colour and highlighting to text, and to use the gallery tool.

    1. Ensure that each student opens the text document they created in the previous class.
    2. Use the terms bold, italic, underline, font type, shortcut keys, font style, font colour, background colour and highlight colour, etc. while teaching, so that students become familiar with them.
    3. Explain the importance of drawing tools, such as drawing mind maps and sceneries.
    4. Use the gallery images when creating sceneries. Make sure students understand object arrangement.
    5. During the class, use the specific terms drawing tool and gallery in text documents.
    6. While teaching, use the terms "Drawing Tool" and "Gallery", etc., so that students become familiar with them.
    7. Ask students to observe how the colour menu is organised, and how they can find any colour they want to use. If possible, show them how different tools such as Word, OpenOffice and Google Docs organise colours.
